This can be done ONLY by using the physical discs from the original product, OR by calling adobe support ( I used the chat funtion last year to install it on a laptop ) and they were very helpful.

So, once you have a legal copy of the software with a serial number, you now have to activate it. I could sell you my old cs6 boxed version and mail it to you, but I would need to DE-ACTIVATE my software and uninstall it from my computer ONLINE WITH ADOBE before you could use it. OR you bought it from a person who transferred the right to use the software to YOU now. BUT your presence CAN be verified by your current adobe account via that past interaction.if you in fact registered and activated your cs6 software back when you bought it. This has NOTHING to do with subscription service which came later on. This is similar to having what is called 'An Adobe Account' or 'A PRESENCE' ( you exist ). This may have involved setting up an 'adobe account' ( like you sign in to adobe and they know who you are ). Once the software got activated ( way back then ) it was now 'in your name' and part of their database. So there are now 2 ( TWO ) ways to activate back then. The way to make it work was to put the discs into drive of computer, follow directions to enter serial number, and then ACTIVATE the software via an internet connection OR by calling adobe customer support to get the activation key.īecause some people wanted to install the software on computers that were NOT connected to the internet. I bought the cs6 creative suite from B&H years ago. So, the only thing I can say is what happened to me personally and it has nothin to do with you. You will find many links that no longer work if you go through the internet and adobe help files to find your answer. We have no control over what Adobe does and changes over time. The bottom line is this: WE are not adobe. Nobody here can help you much but those who answered are doing there best to help. if you bought a download from a 3rd party vendor you will need to contact that vendor if you bought a disc and don't have a drive you will need to buy an external USB drive the link for an Education or volume license download is not available at all if you have an Education or volume license you MUST use your original media if you did not buy direct from Adobe via download you must find your original install download file(s) to an external drive (or two) to be sure you have what you need
